It's not easy to find estimates software for decor projects. Some websites have sections where you can do simple calculations to estimate materials for decorating projects, but they are mostly quite limited.
- How many lengths can you get from a roll of wallpaper?
- How many packs of tiles will you need if you allow for 10% wastage?
- How many cans of paint will you want if you need to apply 3 coats instead of 1?
- How much fabric do you need for your curtains?
- Will it make any difference if the fabric has a pattern repeat?
- What if you want to have a top treatment such as a valance?
- Where exactly should you fix the curtain track, and how far over should it extend beyond the edge of the window?
So out come the pens and calculators. But many of us are hesitant when it comes to measuring, or calculating areas and quantities.
